Despite Rick Perry‘s claims, the budget deficit problem in Texas is huge and was only temporarily solved by using the same stimulus funds that he decried as reckless spending.
In fact, in Texas they’ve had to layoff nearly 97,000 teachers and gut essential state services to avoid going bankrupt.
So, you’d think that when some cockamamie idea that would cost Texas taxpayers $250 million dollars...
